The Silent Theif: A Poem About Mental Health

Mental health, a noiseless burglar,

Stealing happiness and causing grief,

An unnoticed burden that we bear,

A weight we often cannot share.

It's not a weakness to admit,

That sometimes life can be a bit

Too much to handle on our own,

And we need help to find our way home.

Mental health is vital, that's for sure,

It's something we can't ignore,

It affects our opinions, feelings, and mood,

And can impact our daily life.

It's okay to feel sad or down,

But don't let it drench you,

Reach out to a friend or expert,

And they'll help you that's for sure.

Self-care is importantseize time for yourself,

Read a book, meditate, or write.

Take a stroll, enjoy nature's beauty,

And give your mind a break from duty.

Don't be afraid to ask for help,

It's not a sign of weakness,

But of courage to stand up against your fears,

And overcome with the help of your counterparts.

Remember that you're not alone,

And that your feelings are your own,

But there's always someone who cares,

And wants to help you through it.

So let us talk and let us hear,

The tales that we hold so dear,

For in our battles, we will discover,

That we are not alone.

Let's wipe out the stigma, cease the shame,

And work collectively,

The peace and pleasure we aspire for,

For mental health is what we need.
